My husband absolutely loves cherry pies so I made him two today!! I love having fun with the top using my dog bone cookie cutters to give the pies some silly fun!!

Here is a recipe that a very dear friend of mine whom I had adopted as a grandma, shared her recipe with me in 1991!!!

Creeping Crust Cobbler

~ 1/2 cup margarine
~ 1 cup flour
~ 1 cup sugar
~ 1 tsp baking powder
~ 1/2 cup milk
~ 2 cups fruit of your choice
~ 1 cup or less of sugar

Melt butter in 10″ baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder. Then add the milk and mix. Spoon over the melted butter.

Heat fresh or canned fruit with sugar, adjusting less if fruit is canned. (I used the frozen pkg of mixed fruit). Pour over the dough.

Bake in a 350 deg oven for about 30 min until crust is golden brown. (crust will rise to the top).

Serve warm or cold!

Whew, that was all hard work today! I remember when I was younger I could clean house, go shopping, come home and make a big meal and entertain guests, then clean up kitchen afterwards without even batting an eye! Now a days this ole lady feels it!! Tee hee! Ahhh to be young again with all that energy! At least I am thankful I can still cook and do fun things all though a might slower!! Tee hee!!

Well I sure hope you enjoy my chuckles and my recipes as much as I do!!

Hugz,
Blondie and Boo Bear!!

This looks SO good! You and my daughter should get together because you are both great cooks! :-) She cooks and bakes gluten free, but if you did not know it was wheat free, you’d never know. I love to see and read what you make! Keep that up! Your husband is well taken care of, for sure. :-)
