I just watched The Shootist with John Wayne! I loved it!! I love old films a lot!! I have a great appreciation for actors of that generation! I love actors from my generation too, don’t get me wrong but acting was different then!

What is neat about this film is it was produced by Dino De Laurentis, an Italian Producer and he is the grandfather of Giada De Laurentis who is one of my favorite chefs!!

This was Mr. Wayne’s last film, he died in 1979. What I love about him is he is a very soft spoken man! Lots of charisma and rugged handsomeness!!

Other great actors in this film include James Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard! I bet they loved being able to work with Mr. Wayne!!!

One quote Mr. Wayne said in the movie to Ms. Bacall totally cracked me up.. “I’m sure there is plenty of starch in your corset”!! Meaning you have the strength!!

This movie is on my highly recommend list!!

Off to do some more crocheting! I’m almost done with my baby blanket and can’t wait to reveal the finished project!
