We so lucked out there was just a small line to see the Coast Guard ships and I never got to tour them so this was a big treat for me! The Coast Guard is my favorite branch of the service so I was so stoked to be able to see their ship.

We boarded the U.S Coast Guard Cutter Henry Blake! it is based at a Naval Station in Everett Washington and it’s primary mission is the maintenance of 80 lighted, 39 unlighted, and 65 shore-based Bouy Tenders. They also perform search and rescue, law enforcement and environmental protection.

Positioned in front of this vessel was the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle. It would have been fun to see it but there were way to many people on there and the line was way too long! I was so happy to see the smaller vessel anyway!

Here is one of the buoys they have on board, the chain looks so massive too that is holding it.

This officer has been serving in the Coast Guard for 8 years! It was nice to chat with her!

We stopped at a wonderful Thai restaurant and had an appetizer and beer. We will definitely be going back there for lunch. The restaurant smelled so good!
