Seedbud’s perfect poem for a perfect photo!!
Yay I got a new tea pot! I was tired of heating my tea water in a pan. Due to a health issue I had to stop drinking coffee, I had 2 cups yesterday and 2 cups this morning. It is only my weekend treat now. During the week I get to drink my caffeine free teas.
I was in the mood for some comfort food for our dinner tonight. I have very fond memories of my Grandma making home made chicken and dumplings. I had never made them before so today I did and aced it! I call this a TLC dish because it takes some time to make it!
I boiled the chicken for 45 minutes then take it out of the broth and cool on a platter. Remove the chicken from the bone and put back in the broth with carrots, onion, celery, potatoes and other secret ingredients! Cook for another hour till the vegetables are tender. Make the home made dumplings drop by teaspoon full into the soup and cook for 20 minutes.
Wow, it turned out fantastic! I still have some residual migraine going on so going to go and just relax!
Happy Saturday evening folks!

My husband took this pretty pic of our friend and neighbor’s house during the fall when he was on our roof cleaning our gutters. We are trying not to be sad and depressed because she is getting her home ready to sell and she has an offer on another house.
First our friend Andi and Stu moved, then our neighbor Hank had to go into assisted living and the kids sold his home, now Laurie is going to move! Hey we want to move too! tee hee! In reality it is best for us to stay here. We can’t help being sad to see the people we care about move away!
She won’t be moving to far away that we still will be able to see her! Plus I have to treat her to lunch downtown in an East Indian restaurant that I want to try out! She wants to try it out with me!
Change is hard and life happens! tee hee
My baby boy got his bath today, he smells so much better! Off I go now to feed him, clean my floors and get my chicken cooking! We are having Chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight!

I just completed this book online, you can also order it as a paperback. Are you interested in a book that makes you “Laugh Out Loud” and “Have moments of tears” too? Take the time to read The Quaker Cafe.
Liz Hoole is a free-spirited liberal from the Midwest. She marries a conservative Quaker in a small town in North Carolina.
Judge Corbett Kendall dies – he is the father of Liz best friend. Secrets of the past are learned and threaten the racial harmony in a quite possibly easily decided town. Liz is burdened with the secrets that she can’t reveal.
Can the truth come out and can old sore wounds be healed? Can the community be kept together and united??
Here are some favorite quotes in the book that I loved and touched my heart……
1) “Live Happens – You Adjust”
2) “People buy the past inside them and just let it fester. It’s like mildew, you think you
have gotten rid of it and then weather gets hot and sweaty. Over night the fungus takes
over”
3) There may be lots of times in our lives that we ask God for reprieves in our lives, “God
repeatedly offers us reprieves. The problem is we always expect to be given just one
more”
I am glad I read this book – I don’t want to say too much as to give away the clues of the story!
Take a chance and you too will laugh out loud and shed some tears as I did!

It is a wonderful Friday! I do however have a migraine but have been keeping it somewhat under control so I can enjoy my Friday evening! I just bought seasons 2 and 3 of Grimm so off I go to watch my season one and get them started! Yay!
Oh my gosh I am loving all the cherry trees that are in full bloom through out the city! Spring is just around the corner!
Garfield was my train pet for my Friday and my passengers loved him! A guy knocked on my door and told me he loved it! That really made my day!
Off to go and watch some Grimm now! Happy wonderful weekend my friends

In case you haven’t yet heard the news, Mr. Leonard Nimoy passed away this morning at the age of 83. He had pulmonary disease from smoking many years ago.

I will of course always remember his as the beloved Spock on Star Trek, he also acted in one of my favorite tv show Columbo! He will be missed by many! One of my favorite quotes of his is: “The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few”
Lots of prayers and hugz to his family and loved ones in their loss!

A country home out there on it’s own, simply trying to thrive and not be overtaken by city growth!
Beautiful country chickens out standing in their field enjoying the sun!
These guys are having a “MOOvelous” morning! Even letting me take their portrait!
I love love love old barns! Standing tall enduring all kinds of weather, keeping their contents safe inside!
This city girl loves visiting the country! Going up to sis’ house is so peaceful, she lives out of the city, awesome seeing the countryside!
