I made halibut and salad for my meal today! Yesterday I had roasted a chicken in the oven. Today I decided to simmer it slowly to get it all tender fall off the bone ready! Now the soup is slow simmering on the stove! Nothing like taking the time to make such good yummy home made soups!

I just put this in the oven to slow roast for 5 hours! I is covered in yummy seasonings and in the pan is a cup of Red Italian Wine. Cover with aluminum foil. I want to get a roasting pan with a lid, future endeavor.
I hope this turns out and tastes yummy!

Bambi portrait! Saw these cute deer at Sis Tracy’s house! Bambi is saying if I hold real still they won’t see me! Maybe the deer is saying, hey take a really good portrait of me! Or Where are the apples please?? tee hee

I always have more than one project going at once for the variety! Sometimes I start a project and work it all the way through but most of the time I have more than one going!
I am making this for the Receptionist at the Cancer Center where my belated husband got his treatments. Her daughter is expecting a child so I offered out of the goodness of my heart to make her a blanket! You can’t see the true colors here, but it is sage green and lavender! I will get better pics when I am done.
This is a no thinker pattern (tee hee) geometric pattern! Now it is time to shut my slider door and turn my heat on for the evening! I did enjoy the fresh air for a while!

When I am working on a project I like to print the craft recipe from the book and put the pattern in sheet protector. Makes it easier than trying to keep a book open on the page you are working on. Patterns from the internet that are favorites get printed and put in sheet protectors and I have a large 3 rings binder to keep them in. The bear pictured, the pattern was covered as it is copyright protected.

The long grain rice I had in my pantry was so old so I had to throw it out. I was bummed but need to replace it. I used Uncle Ben’s Wild rice and added curry to it! My blog friend who lives in Italy just had curry and she got me drooling over it and in the mood! I grew up with curried rice and love it!!!
I had two port steaks that I baked with ketchup/brown sugar mixture spread over the top and it was tasty!
I went to the orthopedic doctor today and he cleared me to go to work on Monday! I have to still wear my boot that was given to me which is fine! Yay!

Mary Tyler Moore passed away today and may she rest in peace. She was 80 years of age. I have fond memories of watching the Mary Tyler Moore show with my grandparents!
