Well the Benadryl didn’t really work, Bear hates the sound of fire works! I wished they didn’t sell them to the general public and made it so you have to go see them by professionals.
My poor dog is pacing and he jumps into my lap cuz he’s scared.
Mama has been up with him in the living room trying to keep him calm and happy. From now on I shall have to make sure I’m on vacation for that week to be with him. It’s going to be a lonnnnngg day at work today.
Now I shall see if he will go potty but I don’t think he will want to go outside,
My poor pup!
Hugz Blondie and Boo Bear

Poor Bear 😦 Apparently you can buy something called a Thundershirt that can help… might be worth a look. Hope it ends soon.
Our 2 react differently whenever there’s fireworks. Maddie gets all excited, while Mister just gets plain angry. They get super agitated when there’s a thunderstorm!
Bear sat in my lap a lot! 100 pound baby!!
We have an old blind dog…a true beauty…the fireworks never seemed to bother her. But I’ve been in the Vets office before when people are asking for a particular medication that helps with their dogs anxiety. I can’t remember the name, but all these people have to do is come in prior took the fourth of July and get some pills for their dogs. I’ve never heard of Benadryl to work on anxious dogs. It could make them sleepy, but if they still hear the fireworks, it would appear that you’d end up with a sleepy, anxious dog. You have a beautiful dog…and am glad you are there for him!
Next year I will go to vet and get a prescribed med for him. The Benadryl didn’t work at all!
There you go. You are a great fur companion companion to Bear…and I’m glad the fireworks have stopped at least till next year! 🙂
Me too!! I don’t like fire works either!! Hugz!!
I don’t mind if I watch them from afar, but I hate the loud ones that scare me. 🙂
