Historical Buildings are Awesome!

42ndStreetStation242ndStationWe had an appointment across from this building. I loved the vintage looking sign. I looked it up on the internet and it says this little mall has been in the Hollywood district since 1984.BeautifulHollywoodTheaterI adore the old Hollywood Theater!!! I is on the U.S. National Register of Historic places. The facade was commissioned in 1926 designed after the Baths of Caracalla by John Virginious Bennes and Harry A. Herzog. The theater was a venue for vaudeville and silent movies.

The theater currently shows local and international films, classic cinema, animation, educational, independent and experimental programming and also blockbuster second-run movies and they also feature many programs in 35mm.

I love and cherish old architecture and memories of the past! They are treasures to be enjoyed!!!! What beauty!
