Condors at the Zoo

I was totally fascinated by these huge birds! It seems they like to sit with their wings open! Maybe they are thinking “awwwww cool air on my wings feels so good”!

‘I looked them up and they are known as California Condor, they are the largest North American Vulture. In 1987 they became extinct in the wild. These birds are being reintroduced in Northern Arizona, Utah and California.

It is so terribly sad that a creature can become extinct and I am happy that efforts are made to help keep the balance of nature alive!

    You are right, these are big birds. Once I saw them flying at the Grand Canyon.
