Hospital Changes….

They say it’s for the better, but we have been here an hour and a half already, hubby had to go to one room for vitals, the infusion room for blood draw, a different room to go see the doctor and then back to the infusion room

They got new rollable computers and he was asking a bunch of questions that had already been asked.

It was much more efficient the old way things were done. Thank goodness hubby only has one more treatment and hopefully he is done!! The poor guy has been through a lot.

Lovely Old Downtown Buildings

MasonicBuildingGorgeousGorgeousBuildingI shall have to go back in the daytime to get better photos. This buildings is the Scottish Rite of the Freemasonry building and it was built in 1902. I just love all the detail and character that old buildings have!!!!! Fantastic!

The Famous White Stag Sign

DeerTurnsIntoRudolphOurHistoricSignOn Bear’s and my adventure the other morning I stopped to take the photo of a sign that has been in our city skyline since 1940. Over the years it has displayed different words over the years. The longest one being White Stag which was displayed from 1959 to 1997. The City of Portland acquired the sign in 2010 and changed the lettering to Portland Oregon. I love how they turn it into Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at Christmastime!

A Fun Sunday……….

ChubbyMeI don’t have many things from my childhood, so I cherish this photo of chubby little me as a baby! I was born 51 years ago today! I have had a wonderful birthday today! I had gotten my present early. It is hard to believe how fast time flies. I remember when my Grandparents were in their 50’s and I used to think they were old! Geesh, now it is me who is old! tee hee, naw I still feel young but there are days my body reminds me that I am not!GrimmEarlier I got caught up on my show Grimm which is filmed in Portland. It is so exciting to see when they use authentic things that pertain to our city such as the Police car and the Policeman’s uniform! Love it!KnitAfghanBlanketI crochet much faster than I knit because I have been doing it for many many years. I just finished my knit baby blanket and tomorrow I will be sewing on the appliqué monkeys and flowers that I will be adorning it with! I am proud of it!

A Gorgeous Historic Home….

RapunzlesHouse1RapunzlesHouse2This gorgeous home is on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been around since the early 1890’s. It is called the Johan and Dora Poulsen House. Mr. Poulsen and his business partner ran a lumber company near his home. It is so cool that it is kept in such beautiful splendor!

I want to go by it in the day time to get a photo of it too!

One Stitch at a Time……..

WarmScarfI am the good knit witch, creating some fun stuff!
It grows with one stitch at a time!
It may take a while to get the project done.
But it is relaxing to do it even if it takes a while!

First one row, then two, plus on to many more
To make this scarf grow yet bigger!
Keep track of the rows, so there are no mistakes!
With pen and paper it will help me figure!

Some projects are for me and some are for my friends
To be given as gifts, for me this hobby will never end!
I will always be a knit witch forever more
As well as a crochet one too!

Many many projects and patterns to do!
Being creative is a wonderful hobby too!
My gifts always make people smile!

Neighborhood Fire and Police…….

SheriffCar@FireHouseThose who know me know how much I love Fire Engines and Police cars and of course the men in the uniform!!! tee hee! Bear and I saw the cool Police car at our local fire station. Makes for a pretty vignette! We appreciate all the hard work that both the fire and police do to keep our community safe!
