“Bear” Rug…. he was snuggling near mommy and letting me rub his back with my feet!
Bear had a keen eye on the squirrel walking on the fence rail! I was bummed it came out blurry but I had to take the pic fast!

I love this post!!
“We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives.” – Gary Zukav
The rituals are the same each year. The final grass cutting, raking the remaining leaves, bring in the hose and check the snow blower. A 100 percent chance of snow tomorrow and the first snow of the season, winter officially begins. As if surprised by its return, we brace ourselves for winter.
Often we choose to brace for the worst rather than embrace the possibilities and promise in all that is before us. Wishing time away to move quickly past our “winters,” eagarly longing for our “springs.” Yet when we move through our winters fully awake, we find ourselves…

On Sunday’s I like to cook ahead meals for our week!
Hubby loved the chicken I made yesterday so much, today I finished cooking up the rest! These are MONDO chicken breasts!
I made lots of sides to go with, Herb Rice, Green Beans, Potatoes!
I also made my Slumgullion Stew! It has been cooking in the crock all day long! I know what’s going in my lunch for tomorrow!!!! I got the word slumgullion from my Adopted Grandma Mary. She would put everything but the kitchen sink in soups!!!!!

I call these my SUNouettes! It was a gorgeous day yesterday!
Bear and I were on our walk yesterday and here are the geese protecting their property! The one on the far left is the one who comes after you if he feels you are too close to his flock or home! Bear and I didn’t stick around as we didn’t want him chasing after us!
I have a stew in the crock pot made with tender loving care, pics to come later! My house is smelling so good!
I didn’t like how my other scarf project was turning out so I ripped it out. I am loving this one a lot! I am using double thread as the yarn didn’t feel thick enough and I wanted this to be really warm!

This is how our culdesac looked this morning with all the leaves all over everywhere! The top photo is from our oak tree and the bottom one is our neighbors tree. I went out and raked a bunch of leaves for our yard debris and hubby (with his cancer) got up on the roof and blew out the gutters!!!! Bless his heart!!!!
Then our wonderful neighbor Laurie helped me with our leaf vac, hubby showed us how it worked and we got our culdesac all spiffy looking!!!!!!
Now that looks awesome!!!!!! All cleaned up!!!! We have one elderly gentleman who lives on our culdesac and he thanked us last year for keeping our street so nice!!!! That makes us feel good!!!!!!
Here is our hearty much earned dinner! I made baked chicken, potato salad and stuffing!!!! The other day Laurie brought us over a wonderful apple desert in philo dough and it had a carmel sauce!!!! It was so beautiful and tasted awesome!
Now it is rest time after a long day of hard work in the yard!
