I took charge this morning and went up to the doctor’s office while hubby was getting his transfusion. Nathan has gotten a certain medication in the past to help him through this process and I went up myself to make sure he gets the ok from his Doctor and that it is put in his file for future treatments.
Well the nurse that was working with Nathan didn’t like what I did. Too bad on that!!!! I am not afraid to 1) Stand up for his rights if we feel they are violated 2) Stand up for his care and take charge of it, whenever he is uncomfortable about something I am a loud booming voice for him! Have you ever seen the movie Terms of Endearment when Shirley MaClaine yells “Give my daughter her shot”!!!!!!!! tee hee! 3) I help him remember things on what the doctor has said about his care!
We know how some of them treat him in the blood infusion and I just make sure he definitely gets what he needs!!!!
On a much lighter note, the hospital therapy pooch came in to visit with us! Hs name is Oden and he is camera shy so he ended up blurry! He is so very sweet and loved being petted! He has been a therapy dog for a year! He knows which nurse has cookies for him! I loved his visit with us!
Hugz Blondie and Boo Bear

That is great for you to do for Nathan, I just wish Dicks wife would have do it for him or he would not have died. Tell Nathan we pray for him all the time. You two are my great friends and maybe one day we can have lunch when all is well enough. Hugs to you both.
I look forward to it, been way too long! Some of Nathans blood work looking better some still the same. Love you
Good for you – and great for your hubby. He is blessed to have you advocating for him.
Such loving knowing eyes that Oden has!!
