I remember when my grandparents went into this store and bought things for our home. Gordon’s Fireplace was started in 1955 and the business was an original tenant in the Lloyd Center Mall. When the mall was being renovated, Mr Gordon moved his business to this location in which the building was a former aircraft plant.

He was unable to sell his business so once everything is sold, the business is gone. He is retiring. It is so sad to see something that has been around for such a long time disappear.

I hope that the building is preserved and stays there rather than being torn down!
