I saw this pretty blue jay sitting on this box while Bear and I were walking this morning! I love the softness of his chest feathers and the expressive eyes!

Wish we had blue jays here – they are truly beautiful birds!
You would think we would all have the same kinds of birds! I have a blog friend who has cardinals! I would love to see those! I bet you have neat birds in your area I have not seen before!
Perhaps in other parts of Italy, but up north, small birds were considered a delicacy (with polenta) so the poor things were hunted out to extinction! The only ones left are the ones that no one would dare eat like city pidgeons (aka the flying rats), sparrows, crows, and magpies.
Wow that sucks!! I’m like you on the pigeons, they are very dirty looking birds! They should be named flying rats
