Book “Black on Red ~ My 44 Years In the Soviet Union”

3008

I just finished this book and it was so good! It is a story about Mr. Robert Robinson who was a black toolmaker at the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, who was recruited by the Russians to go to the soviet Union to work and teach his skills for one year.

He went to Russia for a better job as the Depression was worsening in the U.S. in the 1930’s.

This story is about his life in Russia, how scary it is without the freedom’s that we have here in the United States!!!

He finally was able to Escape the Soviet Union and return to the United States!

This is an awesome book and very much a reminder of just how lucky we are with our freedoms!
