Chuckles In the Day of Lucy!

Lucy sure loves her sticks! I guess it tastes better when upside down! When she rolled over I was cracking up, look at all the dust in her fur! I want to take her up to Scrubbing Bubbles and give her a bath and see how she does with that!

We went for a walk and a lady was across the street walking her dog, Lucy was in heal position and behaving so well! The other dog was going crazy and barking etc. It is amazing how many people don’t train their pets while on their leashes as they pass other people or dogs.

I am proud of how Bear was and how Lucy is on our walks! She is awesome!

Black Bean Dinner! Oh So Yummy

I am working on keeping cholesterol in check and losing weight! I made Chickpea Salad spread for lunches this week and I just made this black bean dish and had some for dinner and rest will be in my lunches too! Wow it is so good! I really like this one! You can get the recipe from this cook book! I can’t post it because I don’t want to infringe on copyright laws!

I learned a lesson though, wear gloves when cleaning hot Chile peppers, cuz I thought I got it off my hands but touched my face and it was red and burning in the spots I touched. The peppers give it just the right amount of zing and flavor!

Chickpeas Salad Sandwich Spread!

Oh my gosh this is good! It could use a little more something in seasoning to spruce the flavor up! I was bummed I didn’t have any pickles to add to it which the recipe called for. This is a keeper!

I took one slice of bread and cut it in half and had just a small sammy! It is going to be good in my lunches this week!

Lucy and I did a lot this morning so I am tired but I think I will make my second recipe for the work week too and get that done! It sucks getting tired more easily! Now I know how my Grandma felt at this age! tee hee!

Lucy & I Got Two Walks In!

Lucy & I got a walk in at 3 am this morning and we just got back from a second walk!

She is happy and resting on my feet in front of the fan! I think I wore her out! It felt so good though to get exercise in! We had to do it before the heat of the day!

I have my house cleaned too already! Later I pick up my mom in law and have her over for dinner! I am spoiling her with Rib Eye Steak! She is so much fun, the last time I visited she had my stomach hurting from laughing so hard, she has quite the sense of humor!

Lucy Has Been With Me For About 3 Weeks

Lucy has been with me for about three weeks now and she brings me such joy! I so needed the companionship after losing my husband and then beloved Bear! The empty house was just too much to bare! She is so very smart and knows our routine so well!

when I get home she has her ball in her mouth and her whole body wiggles with delight! My loyal little princess, bull in a China Closet, delightful fur kid!

Sis Gave Me Good Dinner Idea

On my Friday I don’t want to spend much time cooking but don’t want fast food crap. I had four zucchini on hand so cooked them with onion, garlic, baby portobello mushrooms and seasoned with thyme, rosemary and basil. Wow yummy dish!

I am fascinated by my little shepherd! She is quite a bit smaller than my Bear was! He was a gentle giant! She is like a bull in a China Closet! tee hee! She like Bear is camera shy! She says “Come on Mom, I am trying to take a nap here” Big paws, big heart! She is sure a sweetie!

I will forever miss my Boo Bear! Lucy is doing awesome keeping me company and being my new fur kid! She is doing a great job being a wonderful companion! I feel blessed to have been rescued by her!
