Happy 8th Birthday to Bear……

Today is our German Shepherd’s 8th birthday! It is hard to believe how fast the time has flown. I remember when he was just a little pup with huge paws! Now he is a Big pup with huge paws!!!! BearsBirthdayBreakfastHappyBearHe got his walk in this morning and he got his birthday breakfast of scrambled eggies as I call them on his chow! He is a happy pooch!

He enriches our lives in so many ways! He is extremely loyal and protective, he is playful and a wonderful companion! He is my shadow dog as he loves to follow me everywhere! If he could go to work with me he would, but he wouldn’t let anyone on the train if he did! tee hee!!! hmmmm, maybe I should take him! muhhhhwah!

Honoring Lauren Bacall…

The beautiful Lauren Bacall passed away on August 12 at the age of 89. In my opinion she was a legend and old Hollywood and a true great actress!!

May she rest in peace and I wish her loved ones well in their time of healing. She made sure her beloved pooch is well cared for too! Pretty awesome!

Meet Little Bear…..

When my husband gets his chemo treatments, we met a very nice lady who is a volunteer in the cancer center. She requested a little bear to give to her grandson, who will be traveling to Israel in October. So I rushed to get this done so hubby can take it to her.

I call this little bear “Israel” how cool is it that a bear I made will travel so far!!!!!!LittleBear1LittleBear2I am going to ask her to have her family send me pics of the bear in Israel! I know she will be pleased with the little guy!

My Sunday Happenings…..

Happiness is going to the craft store!!! yay I got the yarn I needed to finish my project! ColumboHappiness is watching Columbo, one of my favorite shows! What caught my eye is the phone box behind the officer on the right, the Police used to have to check in on those phones! Pretty cool to see some history on my show!!!! HeathBitsSconeIceCreamHappiness if a yummy dessert! I made Heath Bits Scones and it is served with Coffee Almond Ice Cream! Oh my gosh way too good!

My chili turned out awesome! I added some jalapeño peppers on top, hubby doesn’t like them so I didn’t add them to the chili. Yummmmmy sinus clearing meal! Tee hee!

My Precious Baby Boy!

Happy Saturday…..

BeautifulRedPinkYellowBloomI saw this very pretty bloom on Bear’s and my walk this morning! Gorgeous!MyHomeMadeChilliI was in the mood for home made chili, I decided to try a different recipe than what I usually use. It is in the crock and going to cook for a while to get good and done, I took a taste and oh my gosh, yummy! I will cook some rice to place on the bed of the bowl and top with the chili. Some home made biscuits and corn bread are in order too for our tomorrow’s meal!

I have to get some more purple yarn to finish the bear I am working on. I didn’t have enough to finish her legs. Oh darn I get to go to the craft store tomorrow! tee hee! 🙂
