Crochet Owlie Chuckles…..

I finished another crochet project and hubby is creative in telling me what they look like! I have a bunny that his head looks like E.T. My Owlie he said looks like Spongbob Squarepants! tee hee! owlieSpongebob-squarepantsowlie2I just may have to make a yellow one to look just like him!!!!! Just for hubby! tee hee!

This owlie is like a cuddle pillow or simply a cute decoration! I took a couple pics so you can see details, the lighting in my house isn’t good for photographing items at the moment as it is dark out still!

Blondie’s Kitchen Cooking Ventures Today…..

LasagnaI made 3 small containers of home made lasagna, we will be eating some for dinner and the rest will go into the freezer for future meals.

RhubarbPieThis pic came out a little blurry but I made two rhubarb pies and they too will get put into my freezer for future treats!

We are having a rainy day here so it was perfect weather for heating up the oven and cooking!

Cooking For My Freezer…..

ChiliReadyToCookChili ready to cook this morning. 5MealsForFreezerI let the chili cook on low for most of the day, then let it cool and put it in quart bags, then wrapped them in freezer paper and foil to prevent freezer burn!

Now we can take one out at a time for a nice meal!

What’s Cooking In My Kitchen………..

YummyOnionsRoastAwesomenessRoastDinnerGoodnessGoodGravyGoodnessI browned the onion in some olive oil in the dutch oven, then browned the roast on both sides, also put the carrots in to brown some. Deglaze the pan with beef broth, add roast, carrots and onions. I put more liquid in so I would have lots of good juice for making gravy after.

Cover with lid and put in 275 degree oven. I cook my roast for 4 hours since it was a large roast!

Oh my gosh it was a hit with hubby and me!

I made the gravy and home made mashed potatoes too to go with it!
