I sure miss Hank and his dog Otto. I get sad every time I look at his house. Hank and Otto both loved my dog Boo Bear and always said hi when he checked his mail. We would always collect his mail for him when he would leave town. I felt compelled to capture the beauty in his yard for his honor in my heart.

We sure miss our good neighbor and his dog. Hank has to be in an assisted living facility. I walked over to the front of his house and took some pics of his beautiful flowers! 
He has a very pretty yard. I wished he could be at his home to enjoy them!

I love old recipes and all things retro and antique! Maybe it is because I am becoming an antique! tee hee!!!!! I think as we get older we become more nostalgic! Well I made this cherry bread recipe today! They turned out so beautiful!!!!! They taste good but I think it is something of an acquired taste. One of those recipes that kind of has to grow on you!
Next time I am going to try it with either strawberries or blueberries!
In my kitchen I use my C.A.Y.G. rule! I always Clean As You Go so I am not overwhelmed with the clean up!
I used to entertain a lot more when I was in my younger years, I am finding that it is harder and harder to stand in the kitchen and do all that anymore cuz of some health stuff I have to deal with.
My Grandma loved cooking elaborate meals and entertaining and she did it almost to the end of her life. I don’t know how she did it! She was a wonderful cook. She didn’t teach me how to cook as she hated anyone messing in her kitchen but I think she passed the good luck torch on to me as everyone likes what I cook or bake and I feel blessed!

This morning I watched a Columbo episode that had actor Robert Conrad in it! I loved him when I was growing up! I used to watch him in Black Sheep Squadron! Very handsome, sexy voice! It’s funny remembering during my “daydreaming years” I used to imagine I was married to him!!
Well Bear and I have been super busy all morning! Got dinner in the crock very early, Bear and I took part of a walk, poor puppy had some diarrhea cuz his silly mommy bought the wrong kind of dog food! (They don’t call me Blondie for nothing!!) I ran up to the pet store and his right kind of food! My baby boy has a sensitive system and he doesn’t like changes!
I came home and got to making my bread and when it comes out of the oven I will take pics for a post to show it off!!

Yesterday I made Lemon Bars for my husband. It is his favorite desert! They turned out awesome!
All prepped for my baking goodness, letting some ingredients get to room temperature before I get cooking!

Butt pork all seasoned up and ready to cook in the crock pot!!! I can’t wait for my kitchen to start smelling delicious!!!!! I had to edit this post cuz it isn’t pulled pork just yet! tee hee 🙂

Off to shower and go take him for a walk before the heat of the day hits!!!!! Maybe I can squeeze in some weeding real quick, we shall see! I will post my baking goodness when it comes out of the oven! I am excited about this endeavor!

We had a marvelous time seeing our grandson and even had the opportunity to see the grand furry babies too! Yes, what a delight is was! Look how big “Little Man” has grown? Can you believe this? Now, I have to tell you, he is cutting 6 new teeth at one time! So what does this mean? You are going to see a lot of drool!!!!!!! Maybe, even bucket loads over the next few weeks. We would change his shirt, and before we could take him out to the natural light, to shoot a few pictures,his shirt would be drenced…sigh. You might be thinking, why not put on a bib? Well, “Little Man” thinks he too big for bibs, so that just won’t do!

Ahhh love the smell of fresh lemons in my kitchen!!!!!! I just made my husband’s all time favorite desert of Lemon Bars!!!!!! They are cooling and waiting to be topped with confectioner’s sugar! Suhweet! 🙂

I love Columbo and it is neat to see the older cars that were driven back then, check out the police box where the officer opens it and calls to check in! Pretty kewl! I wished I had one in my living room or office for the nostalgia!
Mr. Johnny Cash was a guest on Columbo and he was the bad guy! I sure do love his voice! Listening to him brought back many fond memories of me and Grandpa listening to him! We both loved Johnny Cash!!!!! 
I loved this man’s coat a lot! I would wear it!!! I have a neat old coat in my closet that belonged to a past loved one, it is sentimental to me!

I cut up my zucchini and a tomato and sauté them in olive oil, seasoned with some Italian seasoning, pepper a wee bit of salt and some fennel seeds. Cooked up some noodles then combined them and topped with Parmesan cheese!
