This isn’t the best quality photo but I love it just the same! I call it “Strike a Pose”! Tomorrow would have been my sister’s birthday, she would have been 44 years old.

She died tragically on July 10, 1987 at the age of 19. She was serving in the Air Force and was based in Colorado. She had some time off and went with a friend of hers to California, as Vicki was going to help her friend drive back to Colorado as her friend got a car from her parents.

On their drive back to Colorado I was very much blessed to have been able to talk to my dear sis on the phone. It wasn’t very long after that the accident occurred.

They were in Rawlins Wyoming, a Semi-truck going the other direction, did not have his fifth wheel hooked up properly and when he drove over a bump in the road as there was miles of construction in the area, his trailer separated from his tractor and it hit my sister and her friend’s car head on and also got the car behind them. I would have to look at the police report that I have in my records but I believe that at least 5 people died in that accident.

I sure miss my sister. She had lots of potential and she was very beautiful! She had a love of clothes and in my opinion she could have been a model! I have her Air Force Jacket which I cherish!

I have my letters too from her that she had sent me! I cherish my memories of her!
