Lucy didn’t like the thunder, she was barking at it! It helped that I closed the curtain and turned on the television to distract her from it.

Blondie’s Cooking….
I am so used to cooking huge! When you all alone it is hard still to deviate from that! So when I made a huge batch of spaghetti, I can’t eat it all! So I put it in gallon size bags for single servings, wrapped in foil and put them in the freezer for future meals!
Fall means yummy acorn squash! I already ate most of one! Some is going in my lunch tomorrow!
The salad has lots of goodness in it! Cabbage, Kale, Iceberg lettuce, Italian onion, Fennel and the usual salad suspects! That will be going in my lunch this week too!
Then I just made ribeye steaks, it is topped with roasted garlic! Pan seared then finished in the oven! I think I am set for the week with food!
Lucy and I are tired as we did 3 walks today plus my chores I had to do! Now it is time to put jammies on and relax! I don’t know how to do that very well! There is always something that needs to be done!

Country Store Awesomeness!
I went and got my ODOT physical today and then met my friend for lunch at our favorite spot! Then we went to the country store near her and I bought some Awesome vegetables!
Ok you can tell I am a city girl that felt she was in a candy store when we went to this store! The family there that owns it is so nice! It has always been a dream for me to get milk in glass jars! Yesssss! I got a mondo tomato, the cleanest mushrooms I have ever seen! I should have bought more peaches! I just may have to go back Saturday! Got huge plums, Italian onion and zucchini! I sauted the mushrooms as soon as I got home!
There is going to be some good things going in my lunch tomorrow!

Once in a while I get soft hearted and let Lucy on my bed to be near me! Oh my goodness I love this pic I took of her! She was using the leg of my stuffed dog Boofy as a pillow, and my Sesame Street blanket character is watching her!

Honoring My Loss of Hubby & Bear
It has been 10 months since my husband passed away and two months since Bear passed away. Daffodils were one of hubby’s favorite flowers. Around the 11th of every month is it is hard. November will be the hardest! September 11th is hard for all the loss of the attack on World Trade Center etc too!

She may not smile much, she only smirks or frowns! Her lips are pursed in attentive watch with her mind busy with what she wants! She speaks with her eyes to your soul! Sometimes a squeak from her mouth! She is ever quiet about what she wants! She isa sweet heart pooch!, My fur kid friend!

I roasted asparagus with shallots and also roasted elephant garlic. Lucy was out of treats so I made her a fresh batch for her treat jar! Only home made for my baby girl!
