This weekend was pretty productive. Got a lot of chores done! I made baked pork chops and baked potatoes for hubby and my dinner today.

Poor Bear still can’t go on his walks until his paw heals. He has an owie on his hind legs pad on his paw. Don’t know how he got that. It either happened when he was getting his toe nails trimmed, cuz he doesn’t like that process or it happened in the yard when he was running barking at cats.

It’s hard to not keep him from being active! I take him for rides in the van but he sure misses his walks!

We are hoping it gets better fast but he may have to have it wrapped at the vet so it will heal faster!

My Eventful Saturday!

My hubby had an appointment to go to this morning so Bear and I ran an errand, he loves riding in the van with his mama! We came home and I mowed the lawn, got spaghetti sauce and meatballs cooking in the crock pot, laundry!

I saw this at the grocery store when I did my shopping this morning. Not sure what they are, fun toys for a couple of guys! tee hee

I spoiled hubby and made him lemon bars! He loves them!

Ahh nothing like looking at the latest knit magazine and I love Sudoku puzzles to tax the brain a little bit!

The sun is shining here and it is beautiful! We have the house opened up for fresh air! Feels awesome!

Off to crochet and watch some more NCIS!

Work Day Portrait……

This bus driver is stretching his legs on his break I am sure. I wonder what the intending passenger is saying to him.

Probably something like: “Do you go downtown?” or “What time do you leave?” or maybe “Do you go down Murray Blvd?”

Kudos to all the bus drivers out there who deal directly with the public every day and handle it with grace! I have the pleasure of being locked in my cab of my train. The downside can be that the only time I get to talk to people is on my breaks. Direct interaction with people has it’s good and bad aspects!

My way on interacting with my intending passengers is smiling while coming into the platforms, my train pets and by waving at them!

We just watched the movie Walk the Line and it was awesome! Reese Witherspoon is a favorite actress of mine!

The movie was about Johnny Cash’s early life, his romance with June Carter and his career!

Brings back so many fond memories of my Grandpa and me listening to Johnny Cash and his wonderful music!

Seth Webster lost his wife and has not gotten over the loss! He is raising two twin boys by himself and his home is chaotic! The housekeeper he had hired quits and he is at wits end.

Mrs. Merkle shows up and tell Seth she if from the agency. Is she really an angel from heaven??? You have to read this book to decide!

I am a big Debbie Macomber fan and this book does not dissappoint!!!

Time to go pick out another book to take with me to work for my breaks! Yay!

My Train Ready to go East….

Here I was at the end of the line, my train is ready to go! Although I just noticed my sign didn’t set when I programmed it. The thing I don’t like about these cars is that the cab heaters don’t work well. I was cold in both cabs!!!!

When I got to my car on my break I cranked up the heat to warm up! New technology is supposed to be better but it isn’t always!
