My Friday Evening….

Today I Hurt My Right Ankle….

Oh my gosh what a day! For the most part I always watch my feet when I walk and the one time that I didn’t, I stepped on a rock and my ankle twisted to the far right and I don’t know how I managed to not fall down but I didn’t. Oh my gosh it hurt so bad. I called it in at work right away.

I ended up having to get off work early and I went to the hospital to have it looked at.

The doctor said I have what is called a closed fracture of the distal end of fibula. Next week I have to go and see an orthopedic doctor and see what happens next or how long it will take it to heal! I hope it heals fast!

I know the hospital is covering their tushes but it said on the discharge form that my blood pressure was high and it could be temporary, but could also mean I am pre-hypertension. Oh my gosh, I have never had blood pressure issues! It is high because I am in PAIN!!!! DUH! tee hee! The ice on my foot is making me COLD brrrrrr

R.I.P. Miguel Ferrer

For those who had not heard, Mr. Ferrer passed away yesterday from throat cancer. I fondly remember him from NCIS Los Angeles as Owen Granger and he also played on the show Crossing Jordan that I loved to watch! May he rest in peace.

I Call this “So Many Dogs, So Little Time” Post ~ Tee Hee

I am an avid dog lover and I will always have one in my life! These are some of the breeds I have always considered to be loved in my home! I have had a Lhasa Apso in the past and I am fond of the breed! In a movie I saw I fell in love with the adorable Brussels Griffon! What cute faces! Cavaliers look graceful to me! Schnauzers are cute as a bug in a rug!

Pomeranians are adorable and look like little teddy bears! Of course I love German Shepherds since I have one now! I love how protective they are, but at times that can be stressful when I want company to come over! I didn’t socialize mine enough when he was a puppy! I worry too that when I get older I don’t know if I will be able to manhandle that big of a dog. Something to ponder. Pros and cons!

If I had a place with property I would probably be “The Crazy Dog Lady”! tee hee!

I just love, love dogs!

Healing After Losing a Loved One…

Losing a spouse is very hard to go through, and battling depression is hard too because you miss that loved one so much! I know that I have to go on living, so here are the steps I am doing to try and heal about my loss which I know time will make it easier.

The footprints are mine, I am going to a therapist to help through the grief process! He said I am going through the normal process and he is helping me with ideas to help the depression! Don’t be afraid to go to a therapist to help you with your grieving!

I am trying to get back into my photography and my crocheting!! When I am at home it is hard because I miss my husband sitting next to me!

I started going through photographs and editing them to have a photo company print them up as I am going to get into scrapbooking to tell my memories story!

Nothing beats fur kid therapy, Bear is always there to give me love and hugz and keep mama laughing and smiling!

Simmering Cabbage!

I had the other halves of my cabbage that I needed to use, so it is simmering on the stove! I didn’t have chicken broth so I used water and added bouillon cubes for flavor. Salt, Pepper, Cayenne, butter and some olive oil, and saute onions!

Yum! Going to be good! I love cabbage!

Making My Dog Smile….

Even though it has been very cold, I have been able to get my dog out for his walk! He was smiling from ear to ear, he adores his walks and he is loving the snow!!!!
